LYNNWOOD – Paramedics rushed a woman to a Seattle hospital this morning after she was struck by a car near the intersection of 188th Street SW and Highway 99, officials said.

Officials are trying to determine how the woman, described in her 30s, wound up in the road and was hit, said Marybeth O’Leary, a Lynnwood fire spokeswoman.

The crash occurred just before 10 a.m. The woman was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with serious injuries.
