Soelling was tied for seventh place with an 84 and Burton was 17th with an 88. Brittany Tallman of Issaquah and Kristin Tan of Holy Names Academy were tied for first with 74s. Holy Names was poised to take the team title with two players in the top 10. Enumclaw, last year's runner-up, had four players make the cut for today's final round but none were in the top 10. At Shuksan Golf Course First round Local players making the cut--Tie 7. Soelling (Everett) 84, 17. Burton (Everett) 88. 2A state meet: At Lynden, Michelle Grome of Archbishop Murphy was seven shots back in fourth place after shooting a first-round 84. Bellingham's Claire Rachor had a one-shot lead over Mallory Kent of Foster with a 77. Bellingham was in position to defend its team title with two players in the top seven. At Homestead Golf Course First round Local players making the cut--4. Grome (Archbishop Murphy) 84, Tie 16. Bailey (Cedarcrest) 93. 1A state meet: At Bellingham, Kelli Bowers of Chelan shot an 80 to take a four-shot lead over Alyson Peters of Overlake. Charles Wright Academy, last year's runner-up, was in position to win the team title with three players in the top 16. At North Bellingham Golf Course First round Local players making the cut--None. 2B/1B state meet: At Bellingham, Ariell Eneix was in eighth place with a 98 but trailed first-round leader Kristin Rue of Life Christian by 20 shots. Life Christian players held three of the top four places going into today's final round. At Lake Padden Golf Course First round Local players making the cut--8. Eneix (Grace Academy) 98.
