E.J. Savannah breaks his arm

Posted at 4:56 pm by John Boyle

UW linebacker E.J. Savannah, the team's leading tackler last season, broke the humerus bone in his left arm over the weekend in a non-football-related incident, a school spokesman confirmed today.

Full recovery takes two to three months according to UW trainers, and the injury occurred three months before Washington's Aug. 30 season opener at Oregon.

Savannah, a junior, is part of a linebacking unit that is expected to be the strength of Washington's defense.

Here's more on the humerus bone if you're interested.
