After a decade of federal law enforcement work in Snohomish and Island counties, two FBI agents were leaving Everett because their expertise was needed in the West Coast's two largest cities. Bill Meslon, senior agent in the Everett office, was assigned to the Los Angeles office. His partner Gordon Gibler was being transferred to San Francisco.

A Greek Night with Greek food and dancing was planned at the Everett Elks. There was a banquet planned at the Everett Pacific Hotel.
