MONROE — The Snohomish County Explosion announced Thursday that six-time NBA All-Star Shawn Kemp will play in the North/South All-Star Classic on Sunday at Monroe High School.
Kemp, a former Seattle SuperSonic, will wear a No. 40 Explosion jersey in the game, which brings together some of the top players in the International Basketball League. The teams will be coached by former Sonics Slick Watts and James Donaldson.
Kemp, 38, spent 14 seasons in the NBA. He finished his career in 2003 as a member of the Orlando Magic.
The game, which tips off at noon, precedes that IBL Western Conference championship game, which is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
