The event, billed as the largest 3-on-3 street basketball tournament in the world, drew an estimated 6,000 teams and 24,000 players for its two-day run in downtown Spokane. Winning their respective brackets in the girls high school division were SDM of Marysville, the Snohomish-based Baller Squad, and Gackattack of Arlington. Also, the Everett HoopStarz, competing in the girls fifth-grade division, won Bracket 54. Of the three local high school teams, Gackattack traveled the most difficult road to the championship. After losing its first game, the Arlington squad — which included Alisha Murrin, Carlee Duncan, Ginny Wilson and Kandace Evans — had to win six straight loser-bracket games to qualify for the title showdown. With that task accomplished, Gackattack then beat previously undefeated PTBC Luna Pila twice to claim the championship in Bracket 182. PTBC Luna Pila was the team that defeated Gackattack in the opening round. SDM and the Baller Squad took more conventional routes to their titles. SDM posted a 5-0 record to win Bracket 191, defeating the Lapine Chargers in the finals. The SDM roster included Britt Harris, Shaelei Lucas, Jessica Masters and Kylie Fordon. Baller Squad also went undefeated, posting a 6-0 record. The team, which included Carolyn Gravelle, Hannah McIntyre, Kristina Bride and Kylie Scott, defeated Bozeman McLeod in the championship game of Bracket 186. The HoopStarz completed a 5-0 run through their bracket with an 11-9 win over Tri-City Havoc in the finals. The Hoopstarz included Sydney Taggart, Serafina Balderos, Olivia Larson and Cierra Jo McKeown.
