Apple news tends to be all iPod-this and iPhone-that. But, remember, this also is a computer company.
Actually, more and more people need no reminder, according to the latest market share figures for Apple's operating system. At a time when Windows' share is falling, Apple's OS X is gaining by double-digit percentages.
It probably doesn't hurt that Apple notebook sales are up by 61 percent (!) over last year.
Even Linux is nibbling away at Windows' dominance, though not nearly as fast as OS X.
By the way, the grieving and pleading over Windows XP continues. Among those not totally making the switch? Dell and Intel.
