Videos: Madonna, sort of, and Stars

Posted at 3:53 pm

First, let us dispense with the news: Stars, a solid indie rock band, are playing Seattle on Oct. 9. Go here for tickets.

Second, let us dispense with the videos, a mere two instead of the usual three, since this is, after all, a shortened week.

Stars - "Bitches in Tokyo" - Extended video

It's always a pleasure when a good song gets a good video. Stars catchy and tuneful song "Bitches in Tokyo" was paired with this fun clip by Kevin Drew, letting kids extol the virtues of glam rock and hear advice on becoming rock stars. Remember kids, if you want to be a rock star, you need to threaten to move to Berlin. "Where we moving to?" "BERLIN!"

Madonna with Justin Timberlake - "4 Minutes" - Rock-afire Explosion video

Rock-afire Explosion, for those unaware, were the animatronic house band at Showbiz Pizza. You'll either find this video creepy or funny. It's probably both, as the dead-eyed machines are synced up to Madge's hit single. Near as I can tell from the YouTube channel dedicated to these videos, the clips are put together by the original creator of the group, an inventor named Aaron Fechter.
