Scott and Alskog

Sarah Lynae Scott and Nils Michael Alskog, both of Arlington, plan a Sept. 6 wedding in Mount Vernon.

Their parents are Steven and Julie Scott of Arlington and Tim and Penney Alskog of Arlington.

Sarah and Nils first got together six years ago and then parted ways for a while. They found their way back to each other and are now getting married and looking forward to their lives together.

Bekins and Kitts

Brittany Bekins of Everett and Sheldon Kitts of Worthington, Ohio, plan a Sept. 7 wedding at Craven Farms in Snohomish.

Their parents are Terri Stefnik, and Craig and Gretchen Bekins of Everett, and Scott and Katherine Kitts of Normandy Park.

Brittany recently graduated from Seattle Pacific University. Sheldon is a project manager at Sierra Construction.

Brittany and Sheldon met on a blind date arranged by the bride's mother.

Sheldon proposed while the couple were on a sleigh ride in Whistler, B.C.

Their wedding will have a country theme.

Lipo and Severide

Gina Marie Lipo and Shane Donald Severide plan an Aug. 9 wedding in Port Gamble.

Their parents are Ralph and Kay Quaas of Everett, Jim and Sara Lipo of Mukilteo, and Don and Deb Severide of Issaquah.

Gina is a 1999 graduate of Everett High School and a 2003 graduate of Washington State University School of Nursing. She is a nurse at Children's Hospital in Seattle.

Shane is a 1999 graduate of Bellevue High School. He attended Marymount College in California. He works at Swedish Hospital in Issaquah.

Gina and Shane met at the Gorge.

Marriages

Cummings and Bishop

Michelle Cummings and Joseph Bishop were married June 28 at the Marysville Opera House. The Rev. Brooks Andres performed the ceremony.

Their parents are Joe and Billie Cummings of Everett and Joseph and Anne Bishop of Hope Mills, N.C.

Michelle is a project assistant. Joseph is a receiving manager.

The couple lives in Everett.

Brown and Davis

Kimberley Marie Brown of Lake Stevens and Nathanael Phillip Davis of Cedarville, Ohio, were married June 7 in Springfield, Ohio.

Their parents are Peter and Denise Brown of Lake Stevens and Jeff and Cindy Davis of Cedarville.

Kimberley and Nathanael graduated from Cedarville University in 2007. She will work at Marion Hospital as a registered nurse and he is completing his postgraduate work in Upland, Ind.

The wedding ceremony was held in an outdoor commencement hollow. Although it rained, nothing could dampen the celebration, which included two violinists and a cellist, and a friend of Kim's who flew in from California to sing.

The couple will live in Upland.
