Man shot to death south of Everett

Snohomish County Sheriff’s detectives arrested one man early Tuesday morning following the shooting death of another man in the 14500 block of Admiralty Way in unincorporated Snohomish County.

Shortly before 2 a.m. someone called 911 to say that a car crashed into a fence along Admiralty Way. Deputies arrived on scene shortly after the call, discovered the victim, then found and detained two men believed to have been in the car with him, said sheriff’s office spokeswoman Rebecca Hover.

Detectives learned that the three men had been in the car together when shots were fired inside the car and the driver was killed. No one else was injured, Hover said.

Detectives interviewed the two men detained by deputies and released one of them later in the morning. The other man was arrested and is expected to be booked into the Snohomish County Jail today for investigation of first-degree murder.

All three men are in their twenties and know each other. Detectives are working to determine exactly what took place in the car and the motive behind the killing. Detectives recovered a gun but declined to say where they found it or discuss the type of gun.
