Preparing for college sports

Posted at 1:47 pm by Mike Cane, Herald Writer

The transition from high school to college can be overwhelming for athletes. So many things become more difficult: the level of competition, classes, time management, etc.

I just stumbled onto an interesting series of stories by the Great Falls Tribune that touches on these challenges and the various routes prep athletes take to reach the next level.

The latest story in the four-part installment is called “Leaping from high school to college: Athletes perfect balance between sports, studies.” It’s worth a look. Student-athletes and parents will find some helpful tips.

The third article in the series is slated to be published next week.
