iPhones make expensive paper weights

People lined up to buy new iPhones on Friday. The cooler, faster, cheaper gadgets had only one problem: massive technical glitches.
It's definitely a black eye for Apple. Worst of all, it had to endure a statement from Microsoft, reading, in part, "Neener neener neener."
If you're trying to play with your new iPhone today, here are a couple of stories to read while you're on hold for technical support:
A NASCAR team tried to sign Barack Obama to a sponsorship deal, but it looks like the candidate won't be putting his face on any racecars.
Obama was going to say yes, but he was worried the Rev. Jeremiah Wright might catch wind of it and sponsor his own car, just to run him off the road.
An 80-year-old burlesque dancer in Las Vegas complains that people are in too much of a hurry these days. She likes to take her clothes off slowly, in a 12-minute routine, but her show's producers want her to keep it down to seven minutes.
The producers do have a point. At this stage in her career, her show is kind of like removing a Band-Aid -- less painful if you just rip it off.
