Arts-and-crafts fair today

Allen Creek Community Church holds an arts-and-crafts fair from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today at 13421 39th Ave. NE, Marysville. The event includes a bounce house for kids, concessions and live music and is being held to raise funds to send two teams of volunteers to Malawi.

Garage sale offers items and free hot dogs today

Church of God Prophecy holds a garage sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at 3004 23rd St., Everett, to raise funds to send kids to camp. Volunteers plan to serve free hot dogs.

Volunteers offer water at Sultan Shindig

Crosswater Community Church plans to hand out free water and provide a shady place to rest at its booth at the Sultan Shindig Festival from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. The festival is on Main Street in Sultan.

Blood drive on Monday

Edmonds Adventist Church hosts a community blood drive from 1 to 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 to 7 p.m. Monday at 8625 196th St. SW, Edmonds to benefit the Puget Sound Blood Center.

Cookies and juice provided.

Donors under the age of 18 must bring a signed parental consent form, available at www.psbc.org or at the registration table at the event.

Drop-ins are welcome. Donors can also call or e-mail the church office to schedule a donation time.

Huge garage sale starts Thursday in Marysville

Grace Bible Church hosts its sixth annual "World's For Sale" event 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday to Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 19 at 8521 67th Ave. NE, Marysville.

Touted as one of Marysville's largest sale of gently used items, organizers say the garage sale "fills an entire gymnasium."

Items for sale include clothes, books, toys, furniture, yard and garden equipment, appliances and household items.

Student volunteers from the church plan to cook burgers and hot dogs and provide baked goods and drinks for sale.

The event is sponsored by the student ministries of Grace Bible Church and is being held to raise funds for outreach ministry and general needs.
