Aviation Partners Boeing put its first 767-300 ER with blended winglets in the air Sunday.
The plane, an American Airlines jet, took off from Kansas City, Mo., and touched down in San Bernadino, Calif., where it will spend the next two months in flight certification testing, according to a press release.
Aviation Partners Boeing plans to have FAA and EASA certification on the blended winglets in November with entry into service in December.
The group has enjoyed immense success with blended winglets on Boeing 737 jets.
