Little of this, little of that

We had a quiet weekend, didn't we?
Took care of some yardwork, got to spend some time relaxing in the pool (don't jump to conclusions ... we have a kiddie wading pool for our granddaughter), ate too much and enjoyed the sunshine.
Well, enough of that. Time to get back to "work."
In the next day or so I'll be posting my preview of this weekend's Washington 500 at Evergreen Speedway, so be on the lookout for that.Old dog/new trick
My Web folks have taught me a new trick (and my old XO said that wasn't possible) and I can now attached .pdf files to my blog and Web stories.
Check out NASCAR's statistical advance for the Allstate 400 at the Brickyard by clicking on the "Additional item" link below.
Also, the NHRA sends out a weekly .pdf newsletter called The Countdown. I've attached that to a story in the "national/international racing" section, which you can get to here: (CLICK HERE)
It's not a .pdf file, but NASCAR did send out a preview of the Craftsman Truck series race coming up in Indy. You can read it here: (CLICK HERE)
One way or another, I'm bound and determined to keep throwing this stuff at you until someone tells me to stop.Danica-Milka
Okay, so I read about the verbal disagreement between Danica Patrick and MIlka Duno at practice for last weekend's IndyCar race at Mid-Ohio. After Patrick's foot-stamping trip down Indy's pit road, I must admit I thought it was more of the same.
But Monday, I actually found the video on YouTube and watched it.
Two things come to mind when watching it: (1) Patrick comes off, in my mind, as level-headed about the whole thing. Obviously we don't know what happened before the camera rolled, but on the video she seemed upset but no more than any other racer who felt they were being held up by a slower driver. I think she showed a great deal of restraint, especially when she was getting smacked with a towel by Duno, who really seemed to blow up without cause.
(2) The looks from the crewmembers from Duno's team are priceless. I'm not sure what was going through their minds, but they all just stare until the end when one of them tells Patrick to go away, and then they turn their backs to form a wall to keep the two drivers apart.
There is some salty language in the video -- although the version I saw had the most offending word thoughtfully bleeped out by IndyCar -- so I'm not going to put a link there. Go to YouTube, search for "Danica Patrick" and it'll be the first thing that pops up.
