Playing with a lead or playing from behind, the Boise Hawks are proving they can beat the Everett AquaSox in any type of baseball game.
One day after Boise jumped out to an 8-0 lead over Everett and never trailed, the Hawks scored three runs in the seventh inning to erase a two-run AquaSox lead and take a 5-4 Northwest League victory at Memorial Stadium in Boise.
Boise’s No. 9 batter, Dwayne Kemp, hit a two-run home run in the seventh, David Macias hit a double to score the go-ahead run, and Kyler Burke chipped in two RBI to lead the Hawks, who won their third straight.
The AquaSox fell to 15-20, having lost the first three games of this five-game series.
