Traffic detoured around motorcycle accident in Lake Stevens

LAKE STEVENS – Police are detouring traffic around a motorcycle accident today at the intersection of highways 9 and 92.

Around 9:30 a.m., a motorcyclist was injured in a rear-end collision with a truck, Lake Stevens Police Chief Randy Celori said. The motorcycle rider's injuries were not life-threatening, Celori said.

Police are investigating what caused the collision.

It was the second motorcycle accident along Highway 92 in Lake Stevens in as many days.

On Tuesday night, a 26-year-old Snohomish man died at the scene of the collision with a pickup truck along Highway 92 at the intersection of 127th Drive NE.
