Five new principals in Edmonds

Five new principals in Edmonds

The Edmonds School District welcomed five new elementary school principals July 1.

Two were already Edmonds employees, while the others joined Edmonds from positions in nearby districts.

At Beverly Elementary in Lynnwood, Carol Frodge has taken over as principal. She most recently was the assistant principal at Alderwood Middle School in the Edmonds district.

The new principal at College Place Elementary in Lynnwood is Justin Irish. He was an assistant principal, literacy coach and a sixth-grade teacher at Echo Lake Elementary in the Shoreline School District.

Edmonds Elementary's new principal is Melissa Oliver, who comes from the Mercer Island School District, where she was a teacher mentor and acting principal at Island Park and Lakeridge elementary schools.

Doug Johnson is the new principal at Mountlake Terrace Elementary. He was most recently a vice principal at Mead Elementary School in the Lake Washington School District.

At Spruce Elementary in Lynnwood, Margaret Mesaros is now leading the school as principal. Mesaros was interim principal at Hazelwood Elementary during part of the 2007-08 school year.
