Mountlake Terrace's annual festival offers something for all
Enterprise staff
Mountlake Terrace is celebrating summer with its 15th Tour de Terrace festivities, on now through Sunday, July 27.
The Seafair-sanctioned event features all the summer festival favorites: a carnival, street fair, beer garden, live entertainment, pancake breakfast, fireworks, car show and a Friday evening parade through the city center of Mountlake Terrace.
Most events take place at Evergreen Playfield, located at 56th Avenue W. and 224th Street.
The festival carnival at Evergreen Playfield continues throughout the weekend. Carnival hours are 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday, July 25 and 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, July 28 and 29. The street fair's craft and food booths are open for 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. The beer garden will also open at 4 p.m. Friday, and will continue service through 11 p.m., with weekend hours from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
The Tour de Terrace Parade officially kicks off the celebration at 7 p.m. Friday, July 25, preceded at 6:45 p.m. with a return performance of the Seattle Police Motorcyle Drill Team. Musical entertainment kicks off at 8:30 p.m. Friday with a performance by classic rock band TimeSlip. The annual fireworks display is scheduled begin at 10 p.m.
The Lions Club Pancake Breakfast gets the weekend's activities off to an early start from 8 a.m. to noon both Saturday, July 26 and Sunday, July 27 at Evergreen Playfield.
The 15th Annual Tour de Terrace Car, Truck and Cycle Show takes place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Admission is free to festival-goers who are invited to view the vehicles on display and vote for the People's Choice Award; a $15 registration fee is required for show participants, and cars will begin check in at 8 a.m. sharp.
Saturday's music lineup begins at noon with acoustic trio Woodrush, and continues throughout the day and into the evening with performances by rockabilly group Jimmy Wright Band, upbeat rhythm & blues from Crossroads Band, the hard hitting country of Bucking Horse and headline act Dana Osborn & Changes providing dance rock & originals.
Sunday's entertainment picks up again at noon with electric acoustic group Those Guys, followed by hometown heroes and legendary Northwest music icons, Little Bill and the Blue Notes at 2 p.m. N'Sane wraps up the festivities with some party rock from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday.
