Larch Mountain, Richmond survive loser-out Little League games

MILL CREEK -- Larch Mountain and Richmond kept their seasons alive Thursday at the Washington State Little League Baseball Tournament at Freedom Field in Mill Creek.
Larch Mountain defeated Salmon Creek LL of Vancouver 8-3 in the first game, then Richmond LL of Shoreline beat Greater Richland in seven innings, 14-5, in a pair of loser-out games.
Zack Chamberlain struck out 12 and hit a three-run inside-the-park home run to lead Larch Mountain in the afternoon game.
In the evening game, Richmond posted a nine-run seventh inning, including four home runs.
Larch Mountain faces Richmond at 6 p.m. today in another loser-out game. The winner of that game plays Bainbridge Island at 11 a.m. Saturday.
