After three scoreless innings in the first game of the doubleheader, the Studs burst out with six runs in the fourth, then piled on five more in the sixth and compiled what turned out to be an insurmountable 11-0 lead. In the second game, the Studs scored three runs in the third and two in the sixth. The Studs had a total of 35 hits for the day. The two Merchant runs scored were both solo home runs by Gavin Hienemann (fourth of the year) and Beau Blacken (5th), respectively.
