Ideas for gardening fun this weekend

Here are a few fun things you could do this weekend. Feel free to use one of them as an excuse to put off the weeding.

Go look at some garden art. Art of the Garden will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday at the Monte Cristo Hotel in Everett. The event is going on until Aug. 21.

Visit Coupeville and admire the lavender gardens and watch artists at work. More about the Saturday and Sunday event.

Learn a bit about sustainable agriculture. 21 acres Farm in Woodinville offers a tour on Saturday.

If you are interested in dahlias, and don't mind a bit of a trip, you could visit Kitsap County this weekend. Kitsap County Dahlia Society's annual show. Or you could wait a bit. More dahlia show are planned closer to home.
