How does your garden grow?

Posted at 12:01 am by Jessi Loerch

Right now my tree mallow (Lavatera thuringiaca) is blooming like crazy. I love this shrub. It's pretty and green and the blooms last forever. It's a good thing, too, because otherwise my husband would have long since yanked it out. It's admittedly ugly in the winter. Each spring though, it grows lovely green leaves and a later adds some great pink flowers.

The bachelor's buttons are still going along great, also, and a few of my roses have nice blooms. The lavender is also going along nicely. I plant to cut some to hang for drying soon.

So what about you? What's blooming in your garden right now? What's flowering and making you happy, attracting butterflies or giving you some great foods for dinner? If you'd like to share, e-mail me a picture and description, along with your name and what city you live in, and I'll post it here.
