A public access channel plans to unveil a new program that will focus on local green issues.
“The Green Show,” scheduled to begin airing on Aug. 10 on SCAN TV, is a collaboration between the channel and SeattleDIRT. Those in the know say there will be episodes about sustainable food and sustainable living, with a local twist.
“We cover public affairs, arts and culture, community non-profits and public opinions, but not until now did we cover sustainable and environmental issues,” said Elise Child, a spokeswoman for the program, in a press announcement.
And apparently the show isn’t shy about taking on the big guns: the first program is set to take a look at transportation issues.
“The Green Show” will be cablecast at 7 p.m. on the second and fourth Sundays of every month. Take a look at www.scantv.org.
