For the past seven years, SPIRIT 105.3 has teamed up with the Evergreen State Fair to bring contemporary Christian artists to the concert line-up. Jars of Clay sings hits such as "Flood," "Good Monsters" and "Dead Man." The band has received three Grammy Awards and multiplatinum certification. The opening band, Leeland, has been nominated for a Grammy Award for best pop-contemporary gospel album and four Dove Award nominations. Leeland's latest album "Opposite Way" combines the musical influences of Travis, Coldplay, David Gray and U2. At the Start Out Right event, organizers expect to hand out more than 500 free backpacks with school supplies -- twice as many as last year.
