A Community Transit driver Wednesday found a 73-year-old Marysville man who had been missing from his home. A misunderstanding in Community Transit's media office led the agency to erroneously announce that the man the driver had found was a Shoreline man who has been missing since Friday. That man, Hilmer D. Jager, 79, is still missing. He was last seen setting off to visit a friend in Snohomish on Friday morning. Jager told his family he was going to Snohomish to look for a friend's house, said Erica Bauman, his daughter. He reportedly suffers from dementia, depression and congestive heart failure, according to the King County Sheriff's Department. Jager's health may be in serious danger because he needs his medication. He is described as white, 5 feet, 7 inches tall, weighing 300 pounds with white hair and green eyes. He has white patches on both hands and uses a cane or walker to get around. He was last seen wearing a short-sleeved dress shirt, black pants and black shoes. He is believed to be driving a white 1996 Buick Century with Washington state disabled plate, 72399DP. Anyone who may have information is asked to call 911 immediately.
