Head-on collision closes Highway 9

    State patrol troopers investigate the scene of a head-on collision south of Snohomish on Saturday.

A head-on collision Saturday afternoon south of Snohomish on Highway 9 sent two injured Snohomish County residents to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and blocked traffic for hours. Injured were Kory S. Archer, 19, of Everett, and Victoria Wyndham, 61, of Snohomish.

The Washington State Patrol reported that the collision occurred around 2:45 p.m. at Highway 9 and 160th Street about two miles south of Snohomish when Archer’s northbound car crossed the center lane.
