Irises not blooming well this year? Read this.

Did your irises fail to produce many blooms this year? Maybe you need to divide them. Herald copy editor Jessi Loerch finally got her irises pried out of the rock-hard ground in her yard and divided them.

The photo to the right shows that tell-tale hole that develops in many perennials when they need to be divided. If you need some information on how to divide, look back a few entries.
