'The Coke side of life' doesn't apply to sperm

Decisions, decisions: The Buzz couldn't decide what to watch last night -- the debate between Sarah Palin and Joe Biden or the webcast of the 18th First Annual Ig Nobel Awards.

Coke adds life, or doesn't: The Ig Nobels honor off-the-wall but actual scientific research. Two of this year's winners were a study that proved Coca-Cola was an effective spermicide and one that said it wasn't.

A lead researcher blamed the contradiction on "different methodology." Thankfully, the Ig Nobels didn't describe either "methodology."

"Show us, 'Hockey moms'  ": Turns out the debate wasn't that exciting.

It's too bad the Commission on Presidential Debates rejected our suggestion that the debate use a "Family Feud" format pitting The Bidens vs. The Palins.

Frozen yoga: Parents in a New York school district are objecting to the use of yoga exercises in classrooms because they think it promotes Hinduism.

A compromise was reached when teachers were told they could teach the yoga poses but had to call them "push-ups" and "sit-ups" and wear a whistle around their necks.
