Concerts: Q-Tip, plus presales for John Hiatt, Blues Traveler

Posted at 9:44 am

Q-Tip returns!

The former Tribe Called Quest rapper who had a hit with “Breathe and Stop” has been a solo artist for more than a decade, but has only released one official LP, 1999’s “Amplified.” (His 2002 album, “Kamaal the Abstract,” was shelved by his label, which deemed it commercially inviable. Naturally, it leaked and was a success with critics.)

Anyway, he’s putting out "The Renaissance" on Nov. 8, and will also be hitting the road with Chicago hip-hop darlings the Cool Kids. There isn’t a presale for that show, which goes on sale Saturday.

There are presales for a handful of other shows. For those, read on. (As always, ticket prices don’t include service fees, etc.)

  • John Hiatt, at the Moore Theatre, presale from 10 a.m. Thursday to 10 p.m. Friday, $35. Presale passwords are "stg" or “KMTT.” Tickets for the Nov. 16 show on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Saturday.

  • Blues Traveler, at Showbox at the Market, presale from 10 a.m. Thursday to 10 p.m. Friday, $25. Presale passwords are "stg" or “KMTT.” Tickets for the Nov. 24 show on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Saturday.

  • Buckethead, at the Moore Theatre, presale from 10 a.m. today to 10 p.m. Thursday, $25. Presale password is "stg." Tickets for the Dec. 31 show on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Friday.

  • Also going on sale:

  • Q-Tip with the Cool Kids, at the Showbox SoDo, $25. Tickets for the Nov. 11 show on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Saturday.
