Granite Falls police catch suspect in car thefts, burglary

GRANITE FALLS -- A 22-year-old Granite Falls man was arrested Thursday night and booked into the Snohomish County Jail on suspicion of burglary and car theft.

The suspect was caught in a Granite Falls home during the burglary and drove to the house in a stolen car, said Granite Falls Police Chief Tony Domish.

After an investigation by Granite Falls police and Snohomish County Auto Theft Task Force, authorities believe the suspect has stolen five other vehicles.

He's also suspected of possessing $3,000 in stolen property after police served a search warrant on a residence on the 100 block of S. Indiana Street.

"The investigation is ongoing with additional arrests possible," Domish said.
