Cross country rankings: Jackson boys still No. 1?

Posted at 8:08 am by Mike Cane, Herald Writer

After a solid weekend at the Richland Invite, the Jackson boys remain atop the Class 4A state rankings.

Saturday in Richland, Jackson placed second in the 26-team invitational. The winning team was North Central of Spokane, which is No. 1 in 3A and is ranked No. 1 in the country, regardless of classification.

Among individuals who scored team points, Jackson runners placed eighth, 14th, 15th, 19th and 26th. The time gap between the Timberwolves’ No. 1 and No. 5 finishers was 25 seconds. Complete Richland Invite results are here.
