Expect sunny skies and warm weekend weather
EVERETT -- When the term "Get out!" is heard this time of year, often it's part of a horror movie.
This week, though, it could mean getting out of doors, as it may be the last chance to enjoy some nice weather for awhile.
Other than some morning fog over the weekend, skies are expected to be clear and temperatures above average in Western Washington into Wednesday, said Johnny Burg, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Seattle.
"It's going to be pretty dry and pretty nice," Burg said.
A weak cold front, on the southern edge of a major front moving into British Columbia, was expected to bring some rain Friday night, he said. After that, though, clear skies are forecast.
High temperatures the next few days are expected to exceed the average for this time of year, the upper 50s, but probably won't reach the record temperatures in the mid-60s.
"It'll probably be a few degrees shy," Burg said.
Nights will be brisk, with temperatures dipping into the low 40s.
Still, it's not bad. In the Northwest, rain usually starts to set in for the winter right about now.
"It's supposed to be kind of rainy and dreary by this time," Burg said. "To have some nice days like this isn't really the norm."
