Mood subdued at Machinists' hall

Well, it's certainly not the same rowdy, talkative atmosphere here at the Machinists' hall in Seattle. Results from the vote should be announced soon. Walking by the stacks of ballots, I see a lot more "accept" votes than I see "reject" votes.

Boeing Machinists have less than an hour to cast their ballots whether to accept or reject the company’s latest contract offer.
But unscientific polls show it’s likely to be a close vote.
The Herald’s reader poll had 53 percent of voters accepting the new contract and ending the strike. Machinist Don Grinde has a poll on his blog that has 51 percent of respondents rejecting the offer.
