TV guide for election night coverage

Someone mentioned an election: It all ends tonight. Hopefully.

Major networks plan to scrap their regular programming for a play-by-play on the 2008 election, keeping viewers abreast of who the next president will be.

Here, we provide a rundown of who is scheduled to anchor which stations, and when that coverage begins. All information was gathered from TVGuide.com. All times are Pacific Standard Time.

ABC: Charles Gibson, Diane Sawyer and George Stephanopoulos lead coverage, 4 p.m.

CBS: Katie Couric anchors, 4 p.m.

NBC: Brian Williams gets an assist from Tom Brokaw on coverage, 4 p.m.

Fox: Shepard Smith anchors, 8 p.m.

PBS: Jim Lehrer anchors, 6 p.m.

BBC America: David Dimbleby and Matt Frei lead coverage, with global analysis from Ted Koppel, 3 p.m.

CNN: Wolf Blitzer anchors, 3 p.m.

Fox News: Brit Hume anchors, 3 p.m.

MSNBC: David Gregory leads coverage, 2 p.m.

Comedy Central airs "Indecision 2008: America's Choice," with irreverent analysis by Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert, 10 p.m.
