FYI

Bingo tonight on Camano Island

Camano Canines 4-H Club offers a Family Bingo Night on Camano Island.

It's planned for 6:30 tonight at Utsalady Elementary School, 608 Arrowhead Road, Camano Island.

Game packages are $5 and include nine games and a dauber.

Prizes include a two-day, one-night vacation in a family suite at The Great Wolf Lodge and Water Park in Grand Mound.

Edmonds seniors set a Saturday sale

South County Senior Center offers a holiday bazaar and bake sale on Saturday. It's planned for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 220 Railroad Ave., Edmonds.

Find free popcorn and cider. Goods for sale include crafts, fine arts, infant and children's clothing, jewelry and more.

Fewer will travel on Thanksgiving

AAA forecasts a small decline in the number of folks traveling during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Approximately 41 million Americans will travel 50 miles or more from home this Thanksgiving holiday weekend, a decrease of 1.4 percent from last year's total of 41.6 million.

This is the first decline in Thanksgiving holiday travel since 2002 and is the fourth consecutive travel holiday this year with a year-to-year decline in the number of travelers.

Food bank really needs donations

Donations are down and the number of clients is up at the Granite Falls Food Bank.

The need is expected to continue to rise after the holidays, officials said. Volunteers are welcome, along with cash and nonperishable food.

Checks can be mailed to Granite Falls Food Bank, P.O. Box 1211, Granite Falls, WA 98252.

For more information, call 360-691-6466.

School's play helps children's museum
