Budget Watch

Here's how some of your tax dollars were spent in recent city council votes:

Everett: $1 million to ­Roosendaal-Hancoop Construction Inc. of Bellingham for an expansion of the yet-to-be opened Everett Animal Shelter.

$64,405 to Perteet Engineering of Everett for engineering work on a former landfill that is being redeveloped.

$9,426 to the Washington Department of Labor and Industry for an audit.

Marysville: An agreement to pay approximately $7,200 to Snoho­mish County for maintenance and repair services from Jan. 22 through Dec. 31, 2009.

$531.58 in additional funds to Gary Harper Construction Inc. of Snohomish for extra work on repairs to the Edward Springs Well.

Monroe: $968 to NorthStar Chemical of Sherwood, Ore., for a scrubber chemical.

$780 to Wolfkill Feed and Fertilizer of Monroe for seed and fertilizer.

$5,165 to Landau Associates Inc. of Edmonds for a professional archaeology report.
