Washington Wrestling Report preseason rankings

Now that all of our local fall sports teams are finished, I can fully focus on the winter season. That means I’m starting to think more and more about basketball, wrestling and boys swimming.
In case you missed them, we published our 2008-09 basketball previews last week. Here are links to the boys story and the girls story.

Speaking of wrestling, Dave Gilbertson of Washington Wrestling Report released his preseason rankings. Check out Gilbertson’s list of the state’s top 20 seniors. It features Snohomish teammates Sam Ottow and Stefan St. Marie, and George King of Lake Stevens.
Washington Wrestling Report’s preview content includes all sorts of individual and team rankings. The Class 4A team rankings are pretty interesting. Three Wesco North teams are among the top five: No. 1 Lake Stevens, No. 3 Snohomish and No. 5 Arlington.
