Budget Watch

Here is how some of your tax money was spent in recent city council action.

Arlington: $2,327 to Cascade Natural Gas of Burlington, monthly heating bill for all facilities that use gas.

$575 to Kesselring's Gun Shop of Alger for a police department firearm.

$21,631 to the state Auditor's Office for the city's annual audit.

Everett: $120,000 to Sarah Koch of Arlington to settle a personal injury lawsuit against the city.

$465,342 to the city of Portland, Ore., for replacement traffic signal LEDs.

$28,000 to Linda Deathman of Seattle to conduct 10- to 12-minute telephone interviews with 400 people to test their knowledge of storm water.

Marysville: An agreement to pay approximately $7,200 to Snoho­mish County for maintenance and repair services from Jan. 22 through Dec. 31, 2009.

Monroe: $70,000 to Capps Investment Group for the purchase of land at Lewis Street and U.S. 2.

Snohomish: $839 to Newman Traffic Signs for stop signs.
