Police look for suspects in man's beating

SNOHOMISH -- Snohomish police are asking for the public's help to identify two suspects who beat a man with baseball bats inside his Snohomish home.

The assault happened about 3:30 a.m. Oct. 10 in the 300 block of Avenue H, Snohomish police Cmdr. Fred Havener said Friday.

The suspects, described as two white men, broke into the man's home while he was sleeping and assaulted him. The victim wasn't able to provide additional description of the men.

The assailants may travel in an older manual-transmission vehicle, according to police.

Detectives don't believe the assault is connected to this week's home invasion robbery in unincorporated Snohomish.

Police continue to investigate and are asking anyone with information to call Havener at 360-282-3206 or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477. Crime Stoppers pays up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of anyone involved in a serious crime.
