Two Everett men die when car strikes tree

SNOHOMISH -- Two Everett men were killed and a third man was injured early Sunday when their vehicle struck a tree on Riverview Road.

The vehicle was speeding when it left the road and crashed in the 5500 block of Riverview Road about 1:30 a.m., said Rebecca Hover of the Snohomish County Sheriffs Office.

The 39-year-old driver and a 27-year-old passenger were pronounced dead at the scene, while a 26-year-old Everett man suffered minor injuries and was taken to an Everett hospital and then released.
