Wilkens will be honored at halftime of this Saturday's game between Washington and California. Already enshrined in the Basketball Hall of Fame, Wilkens spent four seasons with the SuperSonics as a player and another 11 seasons as a coach, leading them to their only NBA title in the 1978-79 season. He had a 478-402 record as the Sonics coach and his No. 19 jersey was retired by the team. The NBA all-time leader in coaching victories with 1,332 wins, Wilkens has not coached since the 2004-05 season with the New York Knicks when Wilkens resigned after going 17-22 to start the season.
