Samuel "Joe the Plumber" Wurzelbacher has been sent to Israel as a TV reporter for conservative Web site pjtv.com to cover the invasion of Gaza.

The switch in occupations appealed to Wurzelbacher because, unlike plumbing, he doesn't need a license to be a reporter.

And stay away from the pretzels: President-elect Obama had lunch Wednesday with Presidents Bush, Clinton, Bush and Carter.

Our guesses at the advice the White House veterans had for Obama?

Carter: Skip the sweater during fireside chats.

G.H.W. Bush: Skip the banquet if you're queasy.

Clinton: Have Michelle hire your interns.

G.W. Bush: It really is pronounced noo-cue-ler.

Prius, schmius: Taking a cue from GM's OnStar service, Toyota plans to include a safety system in certain models that can call 911 in an emergency and provide directions.

Going one better, GM will soon offer an added OnStar feature to Toyota vehicles that will connect them to a GMAC auto loan officer and directions to the nearest GM dealer.
