Budget Watch

Here is how some of your tax money was spent in recent city council action.

Edmonds: $35,670 to Mike Doubleday of Shoreline for government lobbying services and up to $10,000 to Salter Joyce Zyker of Seattle for legal services for 2009.

Everett: $870,000 plus closing costs to a Delaware subsidiary of Irving, Texas-based Kimberly-Clark Corp. for a parking lot on W. Marine View Drive.

Arlington: $13,616 to the law firm of Bailey, Duskin, Peiffle and Canfield for legal services.

Monroe: $15,530 to BHC Consultants in Seattle for a storm water system plan.

$163 to H.B. Jaeger Co. in Snohomish for playground drainage.

$213 to United Rentals NW for foul-weather hats.

Snohomish: $43 to Snoho­mish Co-Op for dog food.

$1,493 to Snohomish County PUD in Everett for Carnegie electric bill

$7,876 to Snohomish County Department of Public Works for street sweep guard rails.

Monroe School District: $10,750 to the University of Washington for an instructor to lead algebra workshops for high school and middle school staff.
