Monroe

Volunteers needed to judge seniors' projects

Volunteers are needed to hear presentations from Monroe High School seniors on Wednesday. Seniors are scheduled to present their culminating challenge project, a graduation requirement. Volunteers are needed to serve on panels that judge each student's work.

Two sessions are set for Wednesday. Afternoon volunteers are needed from noon to 2:30 p.m. The evening session is scheduled from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Both sessions take place at Monroe High School, 17001 Tester Road.

Volunteers meet for a brief training in the school's library before hearing presentations.

Mountlake Terrace

Free digital photo class offered at library

Dale Unruh, the official photographer for the Woodland Park Zoo, plans to present a series of free classes about the basics of digital photography.

The 7 p.m. classes are to be presented at the Mountlake Terrace Library, 23300 58th Ave. W., next to Mountlake Terrace City Hall.

On Monday the topic involves basic digital photography. Composition is the topic on Jan. 26, and editing images will be covered Feb. 9.

No registration is required.
