Woodstock Tribute Benefit Concert in Snohomish
Take it to the bank: Instead of three days of peace, love and music, some local bands are promising three hours.
Snohomish guitarist Volkert Volkersz has organized more than a dozen acts for a benefit show. During the show, each group will cover a couple of songs from artists who performed at Woodstock, the 1969 festival that will celebrate its 40th anniversary this August.
Funds from the Woodstock Tribute Benefit Concert will support the Snohomish Community Food Bank.
The show, to be held at Snohomish's Thumbnail Theater, features local staples like Tim Noah, Greg Murat, Wired! and Volkersz himself. Each act will play for about 10 to 15 minutes.
The show starts at 6 p.m. Sunday at the Thumbnail Theater, 1211 Fourth St., Snohomish. Tickets are $10, or $8 for students and seniors.
