CHILDREN'S EVENT

Presidential parade: Northshore Christian Academy invites the public to Elementary Chapel at 9 a.m. March 4 for a Parade of Presidents at 5700 23rd Drive W., Everett. The school's 88 second-graders plan to dress as a president and the president's spouse, including President Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle. Each student will share interesting facts regarding their president or spouse.

Lorenzo Rodriguez: The First Church of Christ Scientist plays host to Lorenzo Rodriguez for "Listen, Trust and Follow God's Direction, Find Security in Uncertain Times" at 3 p.m. Feb. 28 at 551 Maple St., Edmonds.

Rodriguez plans to share solutions to financial, employment, relationship and other problems using the original source book for Christian healing, the Bible and the book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.

Rodriguez is a practitioner of Christian Science healing.

Frosty Westering: Prince of Peace Lutheran Church plays host to coach "Frosty" Westering for a Men's Ministry event from 9 a.m. to noon Feb. 28 at 9320 Meadow Way, Everett.

Westering was a head football coach at Pacific Lutheran University from 1973 to 2002. The university won four national titles during his leadership. Westering also coached at Parsons College and at Albert Lea College earlier in his career.

Westering is the author of the book "Make the Big Time Where You Are."

MEDITATION

Kadampa Meditation Center concludes Inward Bound, Discovering Our Mind, a series of meditation classes from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Monday at Anabel's Framing and Gallery, 2531 Broadway, Everett.

The classes, based on the teachings of Buddha, include guided meditations, teachings, discussion and refreshments. Drop-ins welcome.

MUSIC

The Westminster Presbyterian Church plays host to Collegiate Music Sunday at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday at 2531 Hoyt Ave., Everett.

The Trinity Lutheran College touring ensemble plans to sing a selection of Christian music from around the world, accompanied by acoustic instruments at 11 a.m.

The Seattle Pacific University chamber singers will provide a concert of sacred music at 6 p.m.

Village Community Services invites the public to Village Music and Arts at 6:30 p.m. Thursdays and 1 and 3 p.m. Fridays.

Arlington United Church plays host to a Friday Music event at 1 and 3 p.m. Fridays at 338 N. Mcleod Ave., Arlington. All ages are welcome. Admission is free.

Immaculate Conception Church offers Evening with the Arts at 6:30 p.m. the second Thursdays of the month at 1200 E. Fifth St., Arlington. The cost is $5 per person.
