The game was a low-scoring, defensive battle in the first three quarters, with neither team scoring more than 13 points in a period. In the fourth quarter, Jackson outscored Arlington 19-17. "Neither team shot particularly well from the field," Jackson head coach Jeannie Thompson said. Arlington picked up the pace of the game in the fourth quarter and applied full-court pressure. But Jackson defended its lead by shooting 15-for-19 in the fourth quarter from the free-throw line. Chanel Sam led Jackson with 16 points. She shot 9-for-10 from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter. Kristin Stoffel added 11 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. At Marysville-Pilchuck H.S. Edmonds Woodway is two wins away from taking the third seed into state, Cascade's season is over. Edmonds Woodway's second-leading scorer, Abby Butler (12.6 points per game), went down with an injury early in the fourth quarter.
