Bothell man held on sex charge

EVERETT — A Bothell man is accused of sexually assaulting a disabled teen he hired to help him repair computers.

Brian Ormsby, 45, pleaded not guilty this afternoon in Snohomish County Superior Court . He is being held on $100,000 bail, charged with indecent liberties.

Snohomish County deputy prosecutor Halley Hupp alleged in court papers that Ormsby hired the boy, 17, as a ruse to gain access. The teen is developmentally delayed and is particularly gullible, Hupp wrote.

Ormsby is accused of taking the boy to motels in Everett and Lynnwood, holding him against his will and sexually assaulting him.

The teen eventually told his mother, who called police. Snohomish County sheriff’s detectives arrested Ormsby earlier this month.

Detectives believe Ormsby also has posed as a talent agent for child actors in Mason County and set up a Web site in an attempt to lure children, according to court papers. Ormsby is a registered sex offender. He was convicted in 1989 of raping a 5-year-old boy in King County, Hupp wrote
