Boeing lands order for eight 787s
Michelle Dunlop
Herald Writer
The Boeing Co. won an order for eight 787 Dreamliners, pushing its 2009 order total into the positive on Thursday.
Gulf Air placed an order for eight Dreamliners -- the first new orders for Boeing's delayed Dreamliner this year.
Boeing previously has received requests for 32 cancellations for its 787 this year.
Until the orders Thursday, Boeing had more cancellations than it did new orders this year.
The new orders were reflected on Boeing's Web site Thursday.
